Mr. Khan is Vice President/Principal in Charge of Engineering and Land Development, with over 20 years
of diversified public and private sector experience in municipal engineering,
land development, construction management, project procurement, administration
and management, and environmental compliance and permitting. Before launching
AWZ Engineering, he has successfully served in the roles of Project Manager and
Principal Engineer for various public and private clients including state
agencies, municipalities, commercial and residential developers and owners. Mr.
Khan has worked on several small, mid and large size engineering projects. Mr.
Khan is responsible for design and design review & supervision of work
involving all aspects of site/land development projects. Projects include minor
and major subdivisions and site plans. Mr. Khan represents clients
by attending and testifying in front of zoning/planning board meetings as an
expert witness and works closely with the planning/zoning boards and municipal
engineers. As a project manager, Mr. Khan has worked on multiple capital
improvements projects simultaneously with cost ranging from $2M to over $100M
and, provided technical and administrative assistance on other capital
improvements projects.

development Senior Project Manager, Mr. Werner is responsible for project
staffing, project pricing, billing, development of relationships with clients,
preparation of reports, permitting, the conduct of due diligence engineering
assessments; preparation of site plans, architectural renderings and plans.
Duties include preparing site conceptual and development plans; managing site
development projects, environmental actions; permits; sub-divisions and
easements, reporting; dealings with State, County, Local Municipalities, and
stakeholders; on behalf of client site development projects. Mr. Werner has
worked on multiple site development projects simultaneously with cost budgets
ranging from $100,000 to over $2,000,000.

Mr. Khan is a Senior Director of Construction with over 18 years of hands on experience in all facet of
construction management and construction inspection. His professional
experience includes working for numerous municipal and private residential
& commercial clients. Mr. Khan has a proven record of working
collaboratively with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors from
design phase through construction on numerous projects. He is the lead on teams
solving complex design, construction, and operations issues with a maintained
focus on project delivery and customer satisfaction. Mr. Khan has assisted in
funding acquisition and contract administration for municipal infrastructure
projects, including water, wastewater, roads, utilities, stormwater and other
projects.
Major Responsibilities:
Mr. Khan is responsible for establishing and monitoring project goals and
objectives from the planning and design stages through construction and project
close-out, prepares scope of work, preliminary budgets, schedules and cost
estimates. Select and supervise the performance of consultants, construction
managers, resident engineers, construction inspectors and contractors through
plan and specification review and site visits. Direct construction management
teams, contractors, and vendors to implement policies and procedures to assure
conformance to applicable standards. Direct and coordinating activities
relating to the project, including plan, organize and staff key field
positions. Supervise, review and approves design submittals, shop drawings and
other contract documents. Interfacing regularly with the client. Responsible to
initiate and maintain liaison with client and consultant contacts, to
facilitate construction activities.
